Turmeric is the spice that’s used in curry that gives it that yellowish color, and it has a slightly bitter taste. It’s also used for many health reasons because it’s main active ingredient Curcumin is known to be anti-inflammatory and a strong antioxidant and a brain booster. If you’ve never had a turmeric drink before, I would definitely follow Meghan’s recommendation of starting out with a teaspoon of turmeric. As you get used to it, you can increase the amount that you use. The honey (or other sweetener), milk (I use almond) and warmth of the drink help to cut the taste, but honestly it doesn’t take long to get used to and you may even find that you can eliminate the sweetener before too long.
