Use an ab wheel. This simple looking piece of equipment may very well be your new best workout friend (or your worst enemy, depending on your mindset). While it’s certainly not complicated nor expensive (I’ve seen it sell for $5 at a discount store), it is effective when it comes to working your abs. My oldest son introduced me to this tool, and after just a couple of days of using it, I was seeing results. The important thing to keep in mind is to not try to overreach too soon – literally. You could end up hurting yourself if you do. Simply go as far as feels comfortable and no further. You may see people at the gym who can stretch all the way out, but if you’re just starting out with it, do not try to do that. You’ll get the results you’re looking for simply by doing what feels comfortable. Don’t worry, you’ll feel it as you go. If you’re feeling it in your abs, and you’re back isn’t hurting, you’re doing it right.
Remember, working on your abs will help strengthen your muscles in your core, but it won’t get rid of belly fat, only proper nutrition will do that. But if you’re eating healthy foods and working on strengthening your core, you will see results.
