Healthy Action Step of the Day: Take a Day and Get it Together

Take a day and get it together. The fact of the matter is that we all need to have days like this every now and then. If life seems to be spinning out of control – if your bills are overdue because you simply forgot to pay them; if events or responsibilities are catching you by surprise because you haven’t stopped to put them in a calendar; or if there’s something that you’re losing sleep over but can’t find the time to do it during daylight hours – it’s time to stop the world for a day, get off and get yourself together. If you don’t feel like you can take a full day to do this, take half a day. Either way, your chaos is telling you something. You need to take time to address the things that need to be done and then you need to put systems in place to help prevent you from getting back to that point anytime soon. This will be time well spent, and your stress level and overall health and wellbeing will thank you!
