Healthy Action Step of the Day: Drink Warm Lemon Water

Drink warm lemon water. While drinking warm lemon water in the morning may seem like a trendy thing to do, it’s actually been an Ayurvedic tradition for a long time. I’ve recently started doing this and it’s a great way to wake up. Not only does it add a little zing! to my morning, it’s full of benefits. You can read more about some of those in this article written by Melissa Eisler and published on The Chopra Center’s website, but my favorite is that it’s supposed to help flush out toxins from your gut that have built up overnight. What an easy fix!

You don’t want boiling water like you would have with tea. Simply start with lukewarm water and squeeze the juice of half a lemon into it. It’s a simple, eye-opening way to start the morning.
