Do you. Be authentic. Every pumpkin in this pile isn’t what we may normally think of as being perfect, but as a whole, it all works. That’s because each pumpkin is doing its own thing – bumps, bruises, vibrant colors, unique shapes and sizes and all. I have a lot of trouble with this sometimes. If I’m going to put myself “out there,” I think I have to be perfect. The problem is, I don’t even know what that means or looks like. I certainly know though that when I see the rest of the world doing its thing – whether it’s a pumpkin or a person – I don’t judge nearly as harshly. I appreciate, respect and love for who they are and what they’re bringing to the table (literally or not). So, the lesson for all of us here is don’t try to be something you’re not. Just do you. Be authentic. That’s more than enough. That’s perfect.
