Be prepared.While I don’t usually keep a lot of boxed or canned food around, it is smart to keep some food with a relatively long shelf life in case of an emergency. I’m particularly reminded of that right now as we have a major hurricane working its way up the southeast coast of the U.S. Whether it’s a hurricane, a snow storm or a fluke long-lasting power outage, having at least a few day’s supply of emergency food on hand can never hurt. Those types of situations are stressful no matter what, so why not ease some of that stress ahead of time by knowing that you are prepared?
