Healthy Action Step of the Day: Stop and Soak It In

Stop and soak it in. Find just a random moment today to stop and truly soak in whatever you’re doing. Whether you’re at work, exercising, waiting in the car line, waiting in line at the grocery store, fixing dinner, enjoying family time at the end of the day… whatever you’re doing, stop for just a second and look around. Truly take in everything that’s going on. Try not to label things as good or bad. Just notice them. Then, close your eyes and listen to the sounds around you and notice the smells. Be fully in that moment. Soak it in. As busy as we all are, it’s easy to go through our day automatically and for it all to just become a blur of busyness. Consciously stopping and soaking it all in makes sure that you fully experience at least a few moments each day.
