Healthy Action Step of the Day: If You’re Stuck Mentally, Get Up and Move

If you’re stuck mentally, get up and move. If you’ve ever found yourself just staring at your screen, unable to come up with an idea or thought, you know how frustrating that can be. While continuing to sit there and try to think sometimes produces exactly what we were looking for, in most cases, it doesn’t. Getting up and moving, even for a few minutes, can give us a change of scenery and stimulate our creative juices and thought processes. Even if it’s just walking to and from the restroom, walking around the building or standing up and stretching beside your desk – any movement at all may just provide the answers you were looking for.
