Healthy Action Step of the Day: Meal Planning to Eat Healthy and Save Money

1020 - shopping listPlan out every meal and all snacks that you and your family will have during the week. This may sound tedious and mundane, but it’s one of the critical first steps to getting your health and food budget under control. While eating healthy can be slightly more expensive (in some cases) in upfront costs, planning out what you eat and then following that plan at the grocery store will make it so that you have food on-hand that makes you feel your best when you need it. It will also more than likely help to reduce the amount of money you spend on food each month or at the very least, will be very comparable and healthier than what you’re currently eating if fast food or convenience store foods are a regular part of your routine.

As a very experienced meal planner, I’ve done the legwork for you and put more than a dozen meal planning tools to the test to find the 5 best. Feel free to check out that article here and see if there’s one (some of them are even free) that might work for you.
